Cinemagique is a unique multidisciplinary, cross-cultural educational film program offered to students from third to twelfth grades in Miami-Dade public and charter schools. Students have the opportunity to view and critique European short films and learn short film production. This hands-on approach allows students to: • Develop the ability to think critically, creatively, and practically and learn how to assess and assimilate knowledge and information. • Develop skills to communicate thoughts and ideas effectively and persuasively both in writing and orally. • Develop confidence, resiliency and grit by challenging themselves academically and artistically. The course is offered in French, Spanish and English and can be integrated with other academic subjects such as language study, European history and culture, creative writing, journalism, audiovisual and literacy classes.
