What data points from The Our Miami Report does your project address?

As emphasized in the Our Miami Report, access to quality public spaces is a “critical component of a vibrant urban environment.” The creation of Gratigny Plateau Park is an example of how a strong public-private partnership works to foster community resilience and improve the quality of life in Miami-Dade County. The proposed project will continue the partnership’s revitalization efforts and enhance the quality of the park with the installation of four interactive learning stations for youth.

Please give examples of your project's success.

A two-year partnership lead by Local 10 News, supported by the Miami-Dade Parks Department and other community and business leaders, culminated in the development of Gratigny Plateau Park. Transformed into a clean, accessible and safe place for children and adults to recreate and grow, the park was designed to resemble a flower “signaling new life for a community in need.” The new community park contains walking paths, fresh-air fitness stations, playground, benches, and a butterfly garden.
